Die cast metal model of a Daf 106 Super space cab 4 x 2 with a 2 axle  close coupled Cartransporter in the livery of CMG  Newport Pagnell England.

Cowan’s of Hemel Hempstead was established in 1972 by Mike Cowan to provide a 24 hour breakdown and recovery service for cars and light vans.

Cowan’s reputation soon grew  for prompt response times, excellent customer services and expertise in its field. In 1977 they had the opportunity to tender for the lease on Newport Pagnell service area, which they subsequently won. Initially Mike Cowan moved to the new site with one other member of staff. Cowan Recovery Limited (CMG) was formed as you see it today.

Moving to Newport Pagnell prompted the expansion into the Heavy Recovery sector. Cowan Recovery Limited (CMG) changed its trading name to CMG Rescue Services in the late 1990’s. In 2013 the company changed its trading name back to CMG for all its activities.

CMG not only cover UK rescue but also Europe wide, as you can see this vehicle is decorated with some European artwork .
