Anglo Dutch Model trucks is a small, family-run business run by collectors for collectors!
Early back in my teens, I was first given my first model as a Christmas present and from there I was hooked! I continued adding models to my collection through the years, always wondering what it would be like to produce a scaled replica of a truck I have seen on the road.
With years of experience in the buying and collecting market and twenty years experience driving trucks all over Europe, we established the business in 2009, and in 2011 become a company in our own right with the rights to commission 1:50th Scale Diecast Model trucks with WSI Models BV. By this time I had come off the road and concentrated full time on the production of our own scaled Truck Models.
Our very first commission for the market was not a British model; it was from Sweden which I thought would be a great place to start as I have particular passion for the Scandinavian Style. This model was Torbjorn Andersson's Scania 141 with tilt. To give our products a personal feel, we produce unique styled certificates with our models where each one is numbered by hand. The Andersson itself coming complete with a road map and an idividual photo of 101 different places across Europe and the Middle East, was a special touch to launch our first production.
We have continued this by adding some of our individual style to the more recent releases, namely the "Bedworth Haulage Golden Griffin" and the "Craig Isaac set", with its unique sleeve. From there we have produced a number of replica models for transport companies and the collector alike; notibly Stuart Nicol Transport, Bedworth Haulage and Duncan Plant to name but a few. We continue to produce quality scale models for our customers with a special treatment to detail which we feel is the difference between a good model and an outstanding Model.
